Impressive thrown and etched Santa Clara Pottery vase with hunting motif inlaid with small turquoise stones.
This fine example of contemporary Native American art would be a fabulous addition to any collection.

Norman Red Star, Wi-Cahpe-Luza, Swift Star, was born into the Sioux Nation in 1955. He was inspired to follow Native arts traditions by his Uncle, the famous RedStarr. Norman began creating with beadwork at age 16 and began carving stone at age 24. At 26 he began painting at at 40 he began crafting pottery. Norman now specializes in hand crafting traditional Santa Clara pottery with sgraffito etchings. His work is inspired by hunting and Mother Nature. He signs his pottery Wi-Cahpe-Luza, Red Star, with his shield symbol and his census number.
